Hotkeys

Taskba Helper logo Taskba Helper logoTaskbar Helper allows you to use hotkeys to perform operations on windows. All hotkeys are listed in the Hotkeys dialog. You can use the dialog to define your own hotkey combinations if you do not like the default ones.

The default hotkeys are:

Show Taskbar Helper - The hotkey opens the main window of Taskbar Helper if the program is running and minimized to the system tray. CTRL+Alt+T
Hide / show active window - The hotkey hides the window if it is visible and shows the window if it is invisible. The window can be invisible but active if "Hide window from taskbar only" is enabled. F12
Show the latest hidden window - The hotkey shows the latest window that you have hidden from view. Alt+F12
Move active window to the system tray - The hotkey minimizes the active window to the system tray where it sits as an icon. Ctrl+F12
Shift window to the right on the taskbar - The hotkey moves the active window to the right on the taskbar if there are several running applications. Ctrl+Page Up
Shift window to left on the taskbar - The hotkey moves the active window to the left on the taskbar if there are several running application. Ctrl+Page Down

 

To define your own hotkey, follow the steps below:

  1. On top of the main window, click the Hotkeys... button.Hotkeys buttun.

    The Hotkeys dialog appears.

  2. Put the cursor into the required field.

  3. Press the required keys on the keyboard.

    The pressed keys are displayed in the field.

  4. Click OK.

Changes are saved.
